The other two cities that are interested in Starhill are Oman and Abu Dhabi.
"Starhill brand is already very well sought after by the world. We have been asked and pressured to do Starhill in the Middle East. Can you imagine in Dubai, they have all the mega shopping malls, twice the size of MidValley and yet they want a Starhill? There must be something right that we are doing," he said.
He said there are several ways how the venture can be accomplished, including through joint-development or managing the malls for a fee adding that the Starhill REIT can benefit from this development.
He also said Starhill REIT will continue to buy more properties, as assets in Malaysia are still cheap compared to other global cities like Hong Kong and Singapore.
He said the share price of Starhill REIT has not risen too much simply because investors here still do not understand this instrument well.
