YTL Corporation has distinguished itself through its remarkable performance this past year and earned itself a ranking of 65 as one of the Top 250 Global Energy Companies in Asia under the Platts Top 250 Global Energy Company rankings. The company also earned a ranking of 15 overall in the Fastest-Growing Asian Companies.
Since 2000, Platts has ranked energy companies’ financial performance globally, regionally and by industry sector. Its rankings are generally based on four key metrics – asset worth, revenues, profits and return on invested capital. The fastest-growing companies are based on the three year compound growth rate (CGR) for revenues.
YTL’s rankings has placed the company among the top league of other global energy companies that include PetroChina, Tata Power and Caltex Australia.
The 2010 rankings were announced at the Platts Top 250 Global Energy Companies Awards and Leadership Dinner on Tuesday 2 November at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.
