Multi-talented and good-looking to boot, Dennis Lau seemingly has it all. He is no stranger to KL-ites and has performed numerous times at YTLís brand new Teeq Brasserie at Lot 10 and various other grand openings and launches at Starhill Gallery.
The young violinist/song writer started out playing the piano at the tender age of three and became one of the youngest ever in Malaysia to reach Grade 8 by the age of 11. At eight, Dennis took up the violin which led him to numerous achievements till today.
Dennis has since performed with numerous musicians all over Asia and have shared the stage with the likes of Ning Baizura, David Tao, Lewis Pragasam, James Boyle and Noryn Aziz to name a few.
It was no wonder that Shook! was filled with many fans and friends of the young violinist as he launched his much anticipated album - 'DiversiFy', at thegrand celebration.
The album launch was a momentous event as Dennis is the first Malaysian instrumentalist ever to be signed by Sony Music Entertainment.
The album was composed and produced solely by Dennis and features a truly diversified mix from jazz, to pop and even the classics interloped with creative R&B and hip hop beats.
At the launch, Dennis performed together with beatboxer extraordinaire, Shawn Lee who rocked the crowd along with bassist Ken Chung, saxophonist Jimmy Sax and guitarist Yuri Wong. Dennis also gave a surprise performance when he sat down at the Baby Grand and played a classical piece.
