There are three room categories: Anjung, Serambi and Bumbung. The Anjung room is approximately 88 square metres in size, with a spacious bed and an additional day bed complemented by a large symmetrical sunken outdoor bath set in its own private gardens. A canopied terrace extending into the gardens and beach provides a superb setting for "Sundowners". The Serambi rooms are contained within double storey buildings. Each room is approximately 55 square metres with a partially covered terrace overlooking the gardens. The Bumbung rooms, are similar to the Serambi rooms, but do not have a private terrace, but have excellent views.

Di Atas Sungei
Scenically perched above a river overlooking the South China Sea, this restaurant serves cascade-style breakfast and authentic local cuisine for dinner. Di Atas Sungei offers an extraordinary and distinctive dining experience, as there is no printed menu available. The interesting twist is the "walking menu" in the form of the Menu Master. Their suggestions and recommendations will assist you in planning your personalised menu. 'Roselle chicken', the Resort's signature dish is even featured in the official cookbook of Small Luxury Hotels.
The Nelayan
Nestled along the shoreline with a fine selection of fresh seafood, The Nelayan offers a delightful dining experience set in a relaxing and informal atmosphere. Delicious lunch and refreshing beverages are served during the day and dinner features an array of delectable fresh seafood-based dishes of Western and Asian influence.
Teratai Pool Terrace
A perfect spot to bask under the sun, this outdoor terrace houses the Pool Deck/Snack Bar and serves light meals and refreshments in the day and steamboat for dinner.
Dinner on the Beach
Indulge in a romantic dinner under the stars as the cool sea breeze drifts past, accompanied by the soothing melody of the Gamelan. While guests feast their eyes on the moonlit waters of the South China Sea and luxuriate in the beauty of the natural surroundings, a delectable five-course set dinner is served. The golden sands and tranquil setting of the 'Unmistakably Malay' Tanjong Jara Resort, make for an ideal outdoor dining experience.

A conference centre caters for approximately 100 persons and is ideally located away from the beach and recreational area. This centre is suitable for corporate conferences and meetings, as well as for themed parties.
