We feel such immense gratitude to so many people for the life of our company for these 40 years that we just want to give something back.
In thanking people we count everyone- our customers and suppliers – advisers and financial institutions – our own staff and shareholders – Federal and State Governments – and of course the general public …. We have just so many people to thank.
All people need inspiration in their lives. Music has always been such a wonderful source of inspiration, such a brilliant gift to mankind, such a unifying force that it seemed to us completely natural to offer you music as our means of thanking you.
The reaction has been wonderful – the response so strong, so over-subscribed that you have shown very clearly that there are so many music-lovers in this country – there is a sense of passion and yet a vast unsatisfied demand for music – you have inspired us to try hard to reach as many people as possible – and so it has been made possible to broadcast this concert live, tonight.
It is a dream – and yet I know that that all these composers always wanted to share their works with the people – very often they died disappointed and poor and yet that wish was always in their hearts – I hope that this concert will make them happy and that their immortality will shine through in this music – this is the little that we can do to bring music to the people, to thank you for our 40 years, and most of all to thank God for everything.
In this country we are blessed with the most inspiring leadership. May God continue to bless this beautiful country – May God bless the people of Malaysia – and please God bless us that we may continue for many years to come to play our due part and also to bring to you yet more music.
Thank you once again, and may God bless you.
