YTL Corp Wins Gold at ESG Awards 2023

YTL Corp was awarded the Gold Award in the ESG - Utilities category at The Edge Malaysia ESG Awards 2023.

The Edge Malaysia ESG Awards is aimed at acknowledging public-listed companies (PLCs) and asset management firms that are leaders in the environmental, social and governance (ESG) space in Malaysia.

These awards recognise outstanding environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance in the country, aligning with the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

The awards ceremony was held on Nov 6, 2023, to acknowledge the winners who were chosen via assessment by the FTSE in the December 2022 and June 2023 review periods.

Hosted by The Edge Malaysia in partnership with Bursa Malaysia and FTSE Russell, with Morningstar as the knowledge partner and Deloitte as the auditor, this year’s awards advocated for more public-private collaboration to realise Malaysia’s sustainability goals. It also saw an increase in public-listed companies (PLCs) participation, with 356 qualified Malaysian PLCs and 69 funds contending for the equities and funds categories respectively.
